In April 2015, we celebrated “The Wonderful Wines of Aus” by pouring the very best wine that Australia has to offer.
Our restaurant guests were able to try new wines in each participating restaurant, bar and shop from Australia’s greatest family producers and most innovative up-and-coming wineries. Try truly iconic wines like ‘Grange’ were on offer, as was the opportunity to meet wine experts like BBC Saturday Kitchen’s Jane Parkinson and top wine-writer and Australia expert, ‘The Wine Detective‘.
In the East, Le Pont de la Tour Head chef, Tom Cook, cooked up some of his favourite dishes from his time in the kitchens of Sydney on the pop-up Australian garden terrace. While in the West, Bluebird’s Aussie chef, Matt Robinson, served Barramundi and Kangaroo to pair with the wines he loves the most.
